Finally....
To all Coaches.... "Help is not on the way.... It is here...!!" ... It doesnt matter what level you coach... It doesnt matter how long you have been doing it... maybe youre new at it or young and just getting started... Here is something that you really should try.... In the I have made my own practice planners using excel... I have tried just about every option on the market... Some kept good attendance data... some kept track of what practices were done and when... etc.. etc... But I never really had one that "really" helped me to ...
1) write the practice..
2) select the drills I wanted to use that day ...because they were best suited for the group that was practicing...(or should use ) ..
3) Kept the practice moving ... and on time...
4) let me instantly make notes that would help me evaluate and prepare an even better and more constructive practice for the next session...
Well ... I finally found one.... Once you use it, you will be as satisfied as I am... This is "The" Practice Planner...
Just a qualifying Note: Hey guys this is not about me... but sometimes it helps when we know where a recommendation is coming from... I like to use the phrase "Been there.. Done that.. Got the T-Shirt" ... As it pertains in this instance... I have coached and played at almost every level (for longer than I would like to admit) ... I have been a High School Coach ... A Division-I mens Assistant ... a Division-I Womens Head Coach.. An AAU Coach ... A Youth Coach in Germany, Spain and Italy and a Professional Coach in Germany... I have tried almost anything and everything that I thought might help me with practice... This one really does... Ritz Ingram
